CREED

OASIS YOUTH CREED

I am one of Oasis Youth. I am part of a generation called
to influence the world around me for Christ.
I connect with God daily. I connect with others consistently.
I have a desire to connect others with God.

I reach out to the people in my world. I serve and look out for those
who can’t look out for themselves.
I am a young person who does not exist just for myself.
I commit my life to helping others.
I reach out when it’s not convenient. I reach out when I’m not feelin’ it.
I reach out because I love people.
I am generous with my time, my compassion and my God-given talents.

I respect people. I don’t gossip. I encourage those around me with my words,
actions and attitude. I treat others as I want to be treated.
I respect my leaders. I respect my church and pastors. I honor the authority
that God has placed in my life to help me achieve what He has called me to do.

I am sexually pure.
I honor God with my body. I don’t need cheap substitutes.
I choose to follow God’s word and honor my relationships by living to
the higher standard of waiting until marriage.
I stand up against what our culture says I should do sexually.
I see myself as God sees me, made in His image and highly valued.

I lead others by my example.
More than the words I say and more than good intentions,
I live my life in a way that leads people to God.
My actions, choices, attitudes and behaviors are a reflection of Jesus and His love for people.

I am one of Oasis Youth and I WILL make a difference in my world.
